Naperville to give Riverwalk a polish

Parts of the Naperville Riverwalk will get a face lift this fall when crews redo stretches of the brick walkway that have settled over the years.

 

The Naperville Park District board approved a $39,320 contract with Nettle Creek Nursery on Thursday to reset brick pavers in six areas.

 

Altogether, 13,500 square feet of the path will be redone. Crews also will replace 184 feet of curb.  The work is scheduled to be completed this fall.

 

The sections include:
bullet

Near the sand volleyball courts on the north side of the river;

bullet

Between the Riverwalk Eatery and Millennium Carillon on the south side of the river;

bullet

West of the Millennium Carillon to the metal bridge on the south side of the river;

bullet

From the west handicap ramp at the park district administration building parking lot south to the walkway;

bullet

From the east handicap ramp at the park district administration building parking lot south to the walkway;

bullet

Between the west handicap ramp and the east handicap ramp.
